Juanina L. Johnson received a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing, Management, and Insurance from Indiana State University and a Master of Business Administration from Concordia University Chicago. While working in Indiana and Illinois school districts as a payroll and benefits coordinator, Juanina provided and implemented solutions that would make her employment easier. After many years of contemplating entrepreneurship, Juanina decided to launch out on her own. Currently, Juanina is an Independent Business Consultant.
Juanina is an analytical and conceptual thinker who effectively partners with business owners or future business owners to assess opportunities, facilitate strategic decisions, and drive successful implementations. Juanina’s ability to evaluate complex situations and identify suitable solutions underscores her ability to gain meaningful insight and follow up with thorough analysis.
In 2018, Juanina became a co-owner of B.E.S.S. Art Exposure, LLC. (Black Entertainment and Success Stories) which opened in Merrillville, IN. The purpose of the art gallery is to bring a positive platform and a new cultural experience to Northwest Indiana so that local artists would have the opportunity to display their artwork to the community and make a profit from the sale.
Presently, Juanina has opened her business “Profitable Solutions, LLC.” Profitable Solutions is a start-up consulting firm which provides consultation services to small- and medium- sized companies. Some of Juanina’s services include developing business plans, business start-up consulting, business structures, business research, 501(C)(3) preparation, budgeting, bookkeeping, website creation, business efficiency advice, and much more.
In 2019, it was with honors to work diligently with Kimberly Rice, C.E.O., on the formation of the Lighthouse Center Advocating for Adolescences and Children, Inc. Within one year, the Lighthouse Center was established as a non-profit organization with the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Indiana. Juanina is currently the business manager for the Lighthouse Center.
She also teaches a workshop and uses a manual titled “Children to The Future: A Step-by-Step Guide to Entrepreneurship. As a result, she has helped two more businesses spring forth successfully: “Uncle Sutt's Ribs and Bibs” and “Your Beauty Nail Supply.” She is proud of these new business owners completing the workshop and moving forward in their business adventure.
After attending numerous business meetings and seeing only a few individuals of her ethnicity, Juanina knew that she would impact the world. Juanina desires to share her business experiences and help others develop and grow in the business field of study. For this to happen, Juanina has created and assisted with developing a business-model mentoring program for youths and young adults in different communities by interacting with leaders in the community.
Juanina’s church affiliation is with Wonder Working Word Church in Northwest Indiana. Juanina enjoys providing vittles and supplies for those in need in the community. Juanina also delights in giving inspirational messages to God’s people. Juanina’s life journey has already been set before the beginning of time by the Lord. This journey shall become legacy.
